It has two manufacturing units and a modern tannery in a very congenial environment in Tongi and Dhamrai on outskirts of Dhaka. It has own Product Development Centre, Quality Control Laboratories, Retail Outlets, wholesale Distribution, Direct sales and Export Marketing Channels. Bata Bangladesh produces about 130,000 pairs of footwear of various manufacturing construction and 25,000 square feet of finished leather daily. We export various types of finished Cow and Buffalo leather for footwear production and the manufacture of many of the leather goods and products. We have also capacity to produce many varieties of Suede Leather in various finishes. Bata also exports Cow and Buffalo crust leather. A modern shoe factory and a Tannery with effluent treatment Plant are located at Dhamrai 38 kms west of Dhaka city which began commercial production in 1987. It has reached an annual capacity to produce 8 million pairs of shoes and over 5 million square feet of finished leather.
