ItalyFIAMP – the Italian Federation of Fashion and Personal Accessories – was established chiefly to promote sector products, defend the “Made in Italy” label as well as company brands, support high-quality products and protect the choices made by consumers.
FIAMP was officially established on 20 December 2004 through the efforts of several associations: AIMPES (Italian Association of Manufacturers of Leather and Substitute Products), ANCI (National Association of Italian Footwear Manufacturers), ANFAO (National Association of Italian Optical Goods Manufacturers) and FEDERORAFI (National Federation of Goldsmiths and Jewellery Makers). On 6 July 2007, UNIC (National Tanning Industry Union) and UNAC (National Accessories and Components Union) also joined FIAMP.
